- Take 1 cup Idly and Dosa Batter and mix it properly to create an even texture. You can add water to create a mixture of running consistency.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon Methi or Fenugreek Seeds, a pinch of cooking soda, and some salt totaste.
- Mix the batter well.
- Grease the plates of the idli maker using oil. Take half teaspoon grated carrot in each plate and pour the required amount of batter over it. Sprinkle some water over the idli plates.
- Now prepare your pressure cooker or idli steamer by boiling the required quantity of water. Once the batter starts to boil, add the idli plates in it.
- Steam the Carrot Idlis for about 10-15 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and let the plates sit in the steamer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the idli plates from the steamer and allow it to cool at room temperature for 5 minutes.
- Remove the idlis with a spoon and place them on a plate.
